TEWANTIN COMMUNITY KINDY

PHOTO WEEK INFORMATION

I’m delighted to be photographing the children at the Tewantin Community Kindergarten for their annual kindergarten photos.

I’ll be taking a series of natural individual portraits as the children play and enjoy the kindy's wonderful outdoor environment. A group photo of your child with their special friends and teachers will also be captured.

Photo Week will take place in Week 5 over the following dates, so please add them to your calendar.

GROUP A (MON/TUES)

Monday 10 August - Individual photos.

Tuesday 11 August - Individual photos continued + group photo.

GROUP B (THURS/FRI)

Thursday 13 August - Individual photos.

Friday 14 August - Individual photos continued + group photo.

If you would like individual portraits taken of your child then please REGISTER BEFORE 10 August by following the Registration link. Only children who have been registered will be individually photographed, so don’t miss out!

PHOTO WEEK FAQs: Quick Guide for Parents

What happens during Photo Week?

Photo Week runs alongside normal kindy routines. There are no intimidating studio setups - just me and my camera capturing natural light, lifestyle photos. I chat with your child about what they love to do, then capture them playing naturally outdoors. This creates authentic portraits of real moments.

What should my child wear?

  • Clothing: Clean, neat, and comfortable. Kindy shirts look great, but regular clothes are fine too.

  • Avoid: Large text, logos, or clashing patterns.

  • Hair: Tidy to start, but keep in mind they will be running, jumping, and playing in the sandpit! A little windswept hair just means they are having a great time.

What if my child won't smile or participate?

Don't worry! As a mum of four with over a decade of experience, I use humour and fun to bring out natural giggles. However, a beautiful portrait doesn't always require a smile - photos of them deeply focused on an activity they love are just as special.

Why do some children wear hats in their photos?

I ask all children to remove their hats for portraits. However, if a child is uncomfortable doing so, I won't force them. I'd much rather capture a happy child in a hat than an upset child without one.

Is an upfront payment required?

Yes. A $10 pre-paid deposit is required to secure your child’s session.

  • This must be paid via our online SHOP prior to Photo Week.

  • The $10 will be fully deducted from any for individual photo products or packages placed through my online shop after Photo Week.

When and how do I view and order photos?

  • 1–2 weeks after Photo Week: You will receive a password to a private online gallery to view your child's 4 individual portrait proofs (plus the group photo).

  • Ordering: Please place your order via our online SHOP within 7 days of the gallery opening for the fastest turnaround. (Note: Downloading, copying, screenshotting or sharing these proofs is strictly prohibited).

  • Delivery: Once the ordering window closes, print orders will be produced and delivered to Tewantin Community Kindergarten for collection within 4 working weeks. If you choose to purchase a digital package, you will receive a download link for your files within a week of placing your order.
